There was a time this season where I couldn't be approached or consoled from Sunday afternoon until maybe Wednesday night. With the poor performance we were showing I was just livid and with my friends supporting better sides (Spurs with their cup and West Ham on the top half of the table). Whenever we had debates about our teams all I could say is "better luck next week".
Well finally those weeks have come and it feels good to be able to keep my head up for more than a week at a time. It used to be that I would avoid any news about our team because it was either Owen bashing or discussing what life would be like for Toon in the Championship. Now the discussion is about Newcastle making a run for the top half of the table and taking back this season.
I'll be the first to say that while I'm euphoric that Newcastle is back to winning ways it is something we need to work to keep and that we are still threatened to fall back to the bottom of the table. The boys have worked so hard to turn this ship around but they need to stay at the wheel to keep it headed in the right direction. If we stay healthy and focused by the seasons end we will look back and laugh at the critics.
For now though I can keep my head up high and be positive about next weeks fixture. Lets go boys, keep the good times coming.
