I hate to say this, but I'm not going to be able to keep beating on that drum anymore. There's a couple of big reasons for that...
1. Pain. Maybe I'd forgotten about this part over the offseason, but my back is killing me and my right wrist is pretty sore. I thought being able to sit on the seat back would help, and maybe it would have, but I had to stand up to be able to see anything.
2. Enjoyment. It's not that I don't enjoy beating the hell out of the drum. It's a way to relieve stress. It's just that I'm not enjoying the games as much. I spent too much time last night getting hit in the face with flags, having people use the drum to balance themselves (placing their hand on the playing surface) and not being able to see squat.
I'll bring the drum to the tailgate Saturday. What happens to it after that is, unfortunately, somebody else's problem. :(
