View Full Version : DVD/Video player that upscales video (and 1.5 FF too?)

When I used to have a PS3 my wife and I would love watching DVDs on it. One, the PS3 upscaled the DVDs and they looked more like HD than DVD. Also, it had this handy 1.5 Fast Forward option that included sound. We would get through a sappy, drawn out movie pretty damn quickly.

My question is, do any of you know of software that provides both of these functions (or either)? Our DVD player kinda sucks, so I've been hooking up my laptop to the TV and receiver. The software doesn't have to be free!

Thanks!

I use PowerDVD software to watch my DVD that i burn from my DVD-HDD to my comDputer VD drive. It has that 1.5 FF with audio feature. I like that feature as well to get through some boring moments in the disk.

You can also use the mouse scroll to rewind/fast fwd and pause.
