Well, the book that was destined to be a movie, Timeline, by Michael Crichton, has finally been made. Paul Walker stars, here's the trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/timeline.html
It's interesting from the trailer there are a few story changes, apparently Paul Walker's character will be playing the Professor's son (Professor did not have a son at the dig team in France or in the book at all). I couldn't gather from the trailer who will be playing Andre Marek, it'll be interesting to see. I'm definitely going to this though, I LOVED the book, very entertaining. Also I wonder how they will handle the language aspect of it, as I think about 4 or 5 different dead languages were used in the book.

I was hoping they would put this out......very good book as usual from Mr. Crichton.

i'm excited to see what they do with this. most of crichton's books have been terrible movies (like grisham). but I saw the poster in the theatre the other day and i'm pretty intrigued. here's hoping for the best.

Sphere is the only recent one (aside from Jurassic Pak 2) that I can remember being bad....oh yeah...forgot about Eaters of the Dead.

Sphere was absolutely horrible compared to the book.

None of them were good. I did not read Jurassic Park or Eaters of the Dead. So that explained why I like Jurassic Park....

I am not really looking forward Timeline, but I will see it..

I am looking forward to this....mainly because it seemed to be a movie destined for the theaters as soon as he wrote it.
