West Bromich Albion captain Derek McInnes has been drafted into the Scotland squad for the first time as manager Berti Vogts readies his side for the European Championship qualifying programme.

Denmark will visit Hampden for a friendly fixture on Wednesday 21 August and the road to Portugal 2004 starts in the Faroe Islands on 7 September...

Its been a long time since we have had awe inspiring strikers but is it just me or do those 5 look less awe inspiring than usual.

New Scotland Under-21 coach Rainer Bonhof has chosen his first squad - and read the riot act over junk food and using both feet.

The former German international was dismayed to find players munching crisps and chocolate during this week's training stint at Kilmarnock.

But he has pronounced the exercise - which included a 1-0 victory over a strong Killie side thanks to a Simon Lynch goal at Rugby Park - a success ahead of his first match in charge against Denmark at East End Park on Tuesday.
