Anybody here got it? I picked it up last week and so far I love it. I haven't played the FIFA one with the Wii but Pro Evolution is definitely a very different way to play the game.
On other consoles, you play sports games pretty much all the same way. You are in control of the person who has the ball, you pass kick etc.. a very direct way to play I guess you could say. With the Wii it's a total different ballgame.
Basically, it's almost like playing more of a RTS type game. You can very quickly tell multiple players to do exactly what you want to do by clicking and dragging them in the direction you want to go. So for example let's say you have a forward with the ball and you want to setup a kick from the side.. you click and drag him that direction, release, start clicking on other players and quickly drag them into areas of the box you want, by the time the player with the ball is in a good position, pass the ball in... flick your left wrist for the header. :)
It's a very different way to play. You can quickly run set plays by doing anything.. want to try an offside trap, just flick your right hand in the trapping direction. On defense you have your guy on the guy with the ball.. but what about the others? You can aim and click to mark people, setup the defensive up etc... it's kind of hard to explain but it's way more involved then just playing 1 character with your normal console.
A big con for the game though is that there is no MLS! That's a real bummer and I hope someday they will recognize the market and put the teams in there. Beyond that, I would like to see better manage your own team type situations. They do have a mode for that.. but it's kind of lacking I think.
All in all though, it's a pretty revolutionary way to play the game that I hope they build off of for future releases.
