Interesting AFP article here about Beckham's potential 100th cap (today in France), and his future role with the England national team.

Of course, any involvement on the international stage for Beckham, beyond his club adventures with MLS, is welcome news for the league.

Hopefully, he can stay fit and continue to be a part of the England manger's plans as they prepare for World Cup qualifying.

What are your thoughts on Beckhams role with England in 2008, and how will that play into how MLS can market itself and its biggest star?

Personally I think this is brilliant. Can you imagine in 2010, if Shaun Wright Phillips can get out of prison by then, he plays 65-75 minutes, then Becks comes in to find Rooney, or Peter Crouchy for a game winner?

He could easily have a long future with the team as long as he stays fit, and doesn't ruin his ankles.

A super sub is easily the best option for Becks long term... and if they won't take him, let's sneak him on to the USA team. Nobody knows what he looks like right?
