is it against the rules to play club during your high school season or do people just not do it because there isnt time for both. can a high school player play for a w-league team?

The rules are different in every State. Some States allow a player to participate in club events while playing high school and retain eligibility to play for their high school. Some do not. You need to check rules in your particular State.
