What a way to kick off in the Prem!!
A well deserved win against Villa and the atmosphere, superb.
Appearing at Fortress Fratton will scare the living daylights out of some of our so called 'aristocrats'!!
Imagine ManU and Gooners fans having to sit in the Milton End in one of our typical English winters , with what must feel like the whole world against them!!
Bring 'em on!!
The sweetest thing today though was that after 90 minutes we went top of the Premiership. The scummers haven't got that high in 10 years!!
Plus we are currently looking down on them in the Premiership. Plus! They've only, ever won , one trophy !!!
PLAY UP POMPEY!!!

Welcome to BigSoccer zigimar. Hope to see you around here alot more.

And indeed, it is a great day! If the season ended today we would be in Europe :)

zigimar, were you at the game today?

To be frank, I would have been thrilled with a draw today. Considering our goal this year is to just stay up this is truly a great win. Villa is a team that we need to beat if we're going reach that goal.

Next week away to Man City, in the new stadium will be difficult. But then Bolton and Wolves, two teams that must go down if we are to stay up. Nine point in first 4 game would ease my mind alot. Particulary with Arsenal and Blackburn after that.

But all in all, could not have been better!

Play up Pompey!

City is another team we HAVE to beat in my opinion. They are a decent side - the type of decent side Pompey have to beat to make a mark - let's be real we can't expect wins against Man U, the Arse, the rest - those are just bonuses if they happen. God I am saying "we" - am I really becoming a Pompey supporter lol?

Yes, come over to the dark side. :)

I agree with everything else you said, btw. Their are about 6 teams that we should just write off getting any points from. If we do its just gravy. Man U, Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelski, and Blackburn. You can just about add Everton to that list as well.

We MUST get maximum points from Leicester, Wolves, Bolton, Fulham, Birmingham. That gets us about half way to saftey.

The games with Villa, Man City, Charlton, Middlesboro, Scummers, Leeds, and Spurs will make or break us.

More of today and we have no worries about hanging in there.
The size of squad is the only worry.
