Hey guys, i heard that is the date that we are playing them in Venezuela, i just got on Facetas Deportivas and this is the said list of players called up. The bold players are the ones that to me bring up some contreversy in my mind:

1.- Sergio Galarza (Oriente Petrolero)
2.- José Carlos Fernández (José Gálvez de Perú)
3.- Miguel Hoyos (Oriente Petrolero)
4.- Rónald Raldes (Rosario Central de Argentina)
5.- Ronald Rivero (Universitario)
6.- Limbert Méndez (Wilstermann)
7.- Abdón Reyes (Bolívar)
8.- Luís Gutiérrez (Oriente Petrolero)
9.- Lorgio Alvarez (Cerro Porteño de Paraguay)
10.- Leonel Reyes ((Bolívar)
11.- Alejandro Gómez (Blooming)
12.- Mauricio Saucedo (San José)
13.- Gualberto Mojica (Blooming)
14.- Sacha Lima (The Strongest)
15.- Jhasmany Campos (Oriente Petrolero)
16.- Daner Pachi (Bolívar)
17.- Joselito Vaca (Blooming)
18.- Marcelo Martins (Cruzeiro de Brasil)
19.- Joaquín Botero (Bolívar)
20.- Ricardo Pedriel (Wilstermann)

It seems that platini is still trying to mix it up and call up alot of bolivian league players with out calling guys like cabrera, nacho' garcia, etc. But at the same time he's giving another chance to guys like El Gato, which i hope is a good one seeing how our Goalkeeping situtation is no good right now, maybe he could show that he still got it. Cause older age is not much to a keeper. Look how old trucco was for us. Same goes with Lorgio Alvarez, hes getting a second chance to prove himself, hopefully we put him as left midfield because he is playing awsome in the midfield with cerro porteno, he is very offense and seems to score alot now, maybe thats his calling? And botero too, hes been called back into the sele', hes been playing decent with bolivar still scoring regularly, hopefully he can do something for us upfront with martins.

What do you guys think?

Hey Bolivianofuego, from the list you showed from fecetas deportes, my bold ones are would be...

1.- Sergio Galarza (Oriente Petrolero)
2.- José Carlos Fernández (José Gálvez de Perú)
3.- Miguel Hoyos (Oriente Petrolero)
4.- Rónald Raldes (Rosario Central de Argentina)
5.- Ronald Rivero (Universitario)
6.- Limbert Méndez (Wilstermann)
7.- Abdón Reyes (Bolívar)
8.- Luís Gutiérrez (Oriente Petrolero)
9.- Lorgio Alvarez (Cerro Porteño de Paraguay)
10.- Leonel Reyes ((Bolívar)
11.- Alejandro Gómez (Blooming)
12.- Mauricio Saucedo (San José)
13.- Gualberto Mojica (Blooming)
14.- Sacha Lima (The Strongest)
15.- Jhasmany Campos (Oriente Petrolero)
16.- Daner Pachi (Bolívar)
17.- Joselito Vaca (Blooming)
18.- Marcelo Martins (Cruzeiro de Brasil)
19.- Joaquín Botero (Bolívar)
20.- Ricardo Pedriel (Wilstermann)

Personally, i don't like Sergio Galarza because of his height, he is so small for a goalie and I think it is time to call Daniel Vaca up. He has been playing great and has provided great saves against Santos and other teams in the Copa Libertadores. Plus he is much younger and more agile.
For Abdon Reyes and Luis Guitierrez, I bolc becasue i haven't seem them play great lately. Now for Leonel Reyes, I just don't like that how he gets a yellow or red card in every ********in game. And Gualberto Mojica just plain out sucks ass, if it wasn't for him being good buddies with Sanchez, he would be the professional bench warmer that he is.
For this friendly my list would be...

1.Daniel Vaca-San JOse
2.El Gato-JOse Galvez, PEru(good to see him back)
3. MIguel Hoyos-Oriente
4. Ronald Raldes-Rosario Central, Arg
5. J.Pena-Celta de Vigo, Esp
6.Limbert Mendez-Wister
7.Gatty Ribiero-Real Potosi
8. Jaime Cardozo- The Strongest(very underrated)
9. Carlos Tordoya-Bolivar(he is crazy fast)
10. Lorgio Alvarez- Cerro Porteno(he's on fire in midfield)
11. Jose Luis Ortiz-Nafta Lendava,Slo(it's about time they call and try him)
12.Darwin Pena- San JOse(he's acually playin good in copa libertadores)
13.Daner Pachi-Bolivar
14. Jhasmani Campos-Oriente
15.Mauricio Saucedo -San Jose
16.Alex da Rosa-San JOse(i wouldn't mind seeing him again)
17. Ronald Guitierrez-Bursaspor, Turquia
18.Joaquin Botero-Bolivar
19. MArcelo Martins-Cruziero, Bra
20. Ricardo Pedriel

Im not saying this is my first team or ideal team for the eliminatorias, but im just saying that their are alot of players thatare playing well but haven't been called up. And if you noticed, almost all of them are in teams in altitude or were explayers of teams in altitude. By the way, when the hell is PAblo Escobar goin to be Bolivian citizen. Cuz the we need him for the eliminatorias.(he can definitely be our number 10)

Aleboliviano, I like your list of players, it's exactly what I was thinking. It's also not my ideal team for the eliminatorias, but to try out in a friendly match like this, definetely. I like that you included J manuel Pena, Ronald Gutierrez, and Jose Luis Ortiz. Specially Jose Luis Ortiz, because he wants to be called up to the national team and has been waiting for a shot since moving to NK Nafta in Eslovenia. He is definetely better than Mojica in midfield.

I have one doubt guys, so help me out. Who do you think can play best as a left outside defender(carrilero izquierdo) for our national team? I have no idea who can do well in that position so, any suggestions?

Yea great list Ale, Darwin is playing really good right now, but hes like close to if not 30 already and i read that he has problems with alcohol and just chilling out and staying in shape, but i'd give him a shot. When he came on as a sub in the Copa America he showed alot of good play on the right wing.

And as for all the guys you named, that team could be our ideal. We still need nacho in there, and some one to play number 10!! Where are they? Limberg is done. He looks like he gain 20lbs after finding out that he wasnt going to Greece. He lost his determination and got fat as shit!!

meh......is my feeling to that list. Mojica and Botero are 2 guys I wouldn't mind NEVER seeing on the team again but I know he's just a body to fill out the roster since Cabrera and Arce are clearly above him. Nice to see Gato back, I don't think he's our answer but why not give him a shot.

I agree about Alvarez, he looks good in the midfield and as others have said why not just call up Ortiz just so he can prove already that he doesn't belong on our national team.

Can't say I'm too excited about this game, but if we don't pick up some wins in our next two games we're pretty much done for South Africa.

Let's hope for the best

I agree about Daniel Vaca, especially since he saved San Jose against Santos.

I disagree about Darwin Peña and Alex de la Rosa, neither like to play defense. It was pretty bad against Santos, as neither really had much interest in anything else but playing offense (which is a problem when you are a MF).

The kid that I like was Saucedo from San Jose. When he came in for Peña, he really showed some ganas and reminded me of Arce a bit.

Let's bring in Ortiz....

Thank you, I'm glad somebody agrees with me. Jose lus Ortiz might just be that midfielder that we desperately need.

Anyone gonna be watching the game on jumptv?

Doesn't that cost $$$?

If so then there is 0% chance I'm watching.

I already saw this game with most of our real players when it really mattered, and guess what? we lost. Not a chance I'm watching guys like Botero, L Reyes, Mojica, Darwin.

Ojala que les ganemos a los Venezolanos pero en realidad este partido no me interesa mucho.

Yea htats true, its just i dunno. I'll still pay but do it mad. LOL You know what i mean?

Martins is going to play this game, and i am interested in seeing lorgio alvarez since he's been tearing it up over in Paraguay recently. He was decent for San Lorenzo, i wish he'd stayed in Argentina but thats it is.

I'll update this thread htough with the outcome and a basic talk on the best plays and worst of the game.
