Ok so I don't like any of the womens boots, there just not flashy and cool enough lol. I wear between a 7 and 7.5 in womens which would convert to a 5-5.5 in kids. There isn't a soccer specific store around here so my only option is dicks sporting goods. They have an ok selection but not any that I want. I know I can't go and buy boots off the net without getting a proper size but my problem lies with going with a kids 5-5.5 or up to a 6 in mens. I did try a 5.5 kids indoor shoe on and it was too small so i'm leaning more towards trying a mens 6 but I always get werid looks when I want to try on the mens boot lol. You wouldn't believe the hassel I went through at dicks sporting goods one time. I ended up getting womens (ugly in my opinion) indoor shoes. They just didn't have a good selection.
Sorry for my rant but does anyone have any experience with buying mens boots and being a women? I really like adidas, nike, and some puma ones so its a tough decision. Thanks for anyones help and sorry if its confusing.

Do you have any specific models in mind? That might help narrow it down a bit.
These are the sizes I wear -- I'm usually a 7.5US women, so you might want to go a half size down from these depending on how tight you like your boots. I like a snug fit, but not painfully tight.
Adidas preds: 6.5US
Nike Legends: 6US
Diadora Maximus: 6US
Puma V3.06: 7US (slightly larger than I like but this was the smallest I could find)
I also highly recommend the Nike First2 line. It's a women's only line, and I think its fantastic. Quality stuff. I wear a 7.5 in these.

I'm normally a 5.5 in Adidas boots but with a lot of brands 6 is the smallest size they do.
These are the boots i wear a 6 in (because there was no other choice)
V1.06
Vapors
Copa Mundials
Legends
Tunits
You will be fine with a 6 with your football socks on you dont really notice the half a size difference. I've never had any problems. Just try a few pairs on.
Womens boots never fit me properly because of the shape. The only womens boots id recommend would be the Nomis spark boots they are a really nice fit. But i just tend to wear mens.

There shouldn't be much of a size difference between the talarias and the MV4s.
The best thing to be is go and try some on. I know it sounds stupid but we have no idea what fits your foot well. We can only advice whats best for us. It might not be any good for you at all.
Go back to the sports store and try a few pairs on and see what you think.

Wear your football socks because thats what you are going to be wearing when you use the boots.
