After watching him for now a year, i feel that its about time this guy deserves a call up. He looks very composed/skilled and smart all around player. What do you guys think ?

i personally feel he needs more time. granted i am no dc fan, and have not watched him to much, but what i have seen of him he appears to be a very direct player. defensively though with the LB position as it is, i will hold out judgement until i have seen him a few more times.

Everyone on that side looked good against Harbor View . . . probably Harbor View had something to do with that.

Uh... tell you what... let's see if Burch learns to use his right foot for something other than ornamental purposes. Oh yeah, and let's see if he can learn how to actually man up and prevent a cross.

As a DC fan, I don't like the idea of Burch in a USA jersey. Someone like Nery Castillo would shred him six ways from Sunday.

Offensively, Burch is good enough for this kind of talk. Defensively, he's nowhere near.

An interesting thing is if Burch were the exact same player but right-footed, he could be a stopgap answer at RW.

I don't think he completed a pass in the first half and against a better opponent it would have been costly. Clearly he has big upside but he will need to go thru a January Camp to get a look I think which may be too late for this cycle.

Well, he's clearly improving and it's not like we have a ton of options at left back. Let's give him this year to show us what he can do, and then perhaps we can call him up for winter camp next year. I'm a big fan of Michael Harrington (why is he not on the Olympic qualifying team?) and I bet he's going to have a good season as well.
