Not sure if you guys have seen this. I'm sure it'll be rubbing the other brands up the wrong way!!!! But in honesty there is a huge amount of truth to it. You need to watch it a few times to really hear all the messages. Very clever I think!!!!

I think it is a great ad, I saw it last night when doing my usual sifting though boot news and events.

Yeah I thought it was quite clever. Also, the golden boot has a striking resemblance to the F50.8s...hmmm.

Any ideas as to who the player is supposed to be? I think maybe Harry Kewell after he stopped using Nomis boots and is now using Nikes?

Hahaha. How ironic. Where did you get them from? I actually heard that they were the most comfortable pair of boots from a friend of mine who had them. I guess not...

I got them through Nomis. They are comfy. Just not my kind of boot. I was wearing them in scorching temps though on a very hard ground so i think any boots would have blistered in those conditions.

Hmm, gotta luv the audacity but there are certainly a few leaps of faith to be made to get the insinuation that Harry Kewell wudn't be the insecure no self-belief chump he's become had he worn Nomis in the first place.....

Anyone know where I can get the boots featured in the advert? Id gladly have my feet amputated after killer blisters for boots that gold!

I think you have to admire Nomis in the fact that they are trying, successfully it appears, to break away from the traditional soccer brand thinking. I have actually been to the development office and factory where the boots are being made, and it's interesting in how their whole mindset really is about comfort and performance. The guys behind it are the mavericks that used to be at the big brands and were always wanting to push the boundaries.

But one thing's for sure.......these guys are deadly serious.

I read somewhere that Nomis was going to make a big push this year. Looks like they are doing this marketing campaign as part of that push. They've also redone their website (no more references to Harry Kewell). They have "8 Steps to picking the right boots" -- http://www.nomisfootball.com/8-steps.html . While this is clearly biased towards the features that Nomis is promoting (low water absorption, grip in wet conditions, etc), I think its great that they are encouraging consumers to judge boots based on merit.
