Very general history of several players and the season. No mention of the injuries. Aimed at the general non-soccer public.

What's with this trend (seems like, anyhow) of adding a name sig to posts?

In John's (or jmsdoc) case, it makes a little sense, since his first name differs from his screen name, but I've seen it in a few cases when the two are identical.

It seems redundant and pointless - unless people let others use their BS accounts and then have to remind people, "This time it's actually me!"

Back to topic. Decent article, if more optimistic than realistic.

You're all just following in my footsteps.

Edit to note: How did Nellie get the nickname "Hardman"?

Remember, the league doesn't pay him squat, so that must be his adult film star character's name... :)

An MLS Crazy Gang? I don't know if the team's inconsistent play and lack of an outstanding player is a good thing, I'm still not sold entirely on Ray's ability as a coach, and I would love to see Alecko get more of a chance to prove himself (let him start a few and bring Hristo and/or Earnie off the bench), but I'm happy as hell that United are finally in a spot where we can discuss them leading the East again.

Still, I'd rather have the glory days of Arena's elitist soccer.

Playoffs, here we come!

Seems to me that the blurb on Q2 pretty much required a mention of an injury that will have him out for weeks and can destroy the very momentum Haydon was talking about.

It's almost like he wrote this article on Monday and then left town for vacation and his editors are too clueless to fix it.

Speaking of that, I saw a guy wearing red, white & black cammo pants at the game the other night and it wasn't you.

You're just a trendsetter, I guess.

Either that or Sachin forgot his pants at that guys house.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Not unless you want to post on the Business and Media board.

I think its a great article and the type that gets non soccer fans browsing past the Redskins sections to stop and read. --Good stuff.

--Just not sure if it makes us look more like the Bad News Bears or the Dirty Dozen.... hmmm... Wasnt Chico's Bail Bonds a sponsor? :)

Nice job Haydon.

A screen name.

A childhood nickname.

That was my own distortion of my actual name.

But it could be read many other ways . . .

FEMale FAn

FEMme FAtale

And I think it means "hungry" in Swahili or something. . .

But fine, whatever.
