First leg
Olomouc 2 Sarajevo 1
Sarajevo scored the first goal on a beautiful shot off the post to give them a 1-0 lead. Olomouc scored in the 45th minute to tie the game 1-1 just before the end of the first half. Pascal Ekeuwme scored in the 78th minute to give Olomouc a 2-1 lead.
I thought Sarajevo played great up until they scored the first goal and then they sat back on the lead. They even sat back when it was 1-1. At least that was my interpretation of their play. Olomouc was very unlucky not to score a third goal. Oh yeah, the Sarajevo keeper stopped a PK in the 7th minute.
Just about exactly what I expected from this game. I was shocked taht Olomouc managed to score two goals and to show some offensive pressure. The second leg is going to be an excellent match and I can§t wait for the game. I leave for Sarajevo next Saturday or Sunday.
About 15-20 Sarajevo fans were at the game including around 10 supporters from that .org site.. forget the name at the moment but they did a good job with chants etc...

Any news of who will be seeded for the first round?

It depends on who qualifies today. Based on the Champions League, it will be based on coefficients - which are documented somewhere I'm sure. :)

Still waiting for the seeding and the draw.
slipped up badly in the last two seasons, but CFC have the pedigree. Will it be third time lucky for Claudi Ranieri's blue and white army?

Celta de Vigo have been disappointing in the UEFA Cup the past few seasons, but I have a feeling that Real Betis will represent Spain very well.
Now I just hope Deportivo doesn't bomb out of the group of death and join them.

If Betis play as well as they did yesteday they very well could win the UEFA Cup.

Difficult loss for Sigma Olomouc at Sarajevo. I was the only Sigma fan at the game amongst 20000 FCS fanatics.. just a little intimidating. Sigma blew it, and they know they could have won the game. In the PK's Sigma missed the first one, when Caha hit the underside of the crossbar and then the ball bounced on the line and out. Vaniak, the keeper, let the ball slip under him and the third kick by FCS. Very disappointing.

Has a certain ring to it if you sing it to the tune of the beatles "Yellow Submarine".
