Kevin Ratcliffe?I haven't seem him play but I read that he was one of the fastest players to have ever played at centre-back. Then again, it was Wikipedia.

But Buffon, Cannavaro, and Charlton were fast runners? :confused:Maradona was fast with the ball, when possible. He wouldn't win a sprint. He was faster at thinking than sprinting.

There haven't been records of GKs running in sprints so I thought of GKs who either think or react fast. It was either him or Gordon Banks. Who would you pick?

Cannavaro is a better pick than Puyol. In his Serie A days, Cannavaro along with Ivan Cordoba were amongst the fastest CBs in the league. Maybe I should place Nesta to keep you happy. :p

Charlton played as a left-winger at times. You should watch his goal against Mexico in the 1966 World Cup. Love that run from CM!
