DC hasn't lost on the road since we've started coming here, can't break the streak now! Get here early because we're not sure if there might be a baseball crowd at 7 (like 5:30-6).

I thought that the reason DC hasn't lost on the road was because they switched to the black shorts.

IIRC - at the 7/2 game in "Dallas" the team wore white shorts.

Also, the Bistro Europa in Old Town has FSW.

Grevey's works for me. Last time I was there (the 4-2 miracle against NE) I was the only one rooting for DCU, well, except the waiter.

Willie and Reeds failed us tonight (by us I mean me and Thomas Calhoun, nice to meetcha). They couldn't get the game on. Had to rush home to adjust my VCR taping and found I missed the first half hour anyway. Screw technology. Unless someone makes arrangements in the future, I wouldn't expect just to show up and think they'll have the game on (especially against football).

Thx,

Jay!

I had a similar problem at Grevey's. K posted that the game would be shown there, and it was. However, while Grevey's has HDnet, no one there knows how to use it. So we couldn't see the game on the one HDnet TV they have. Fortunately, I was able to convince them that they had FSW (they did, but it took a while.) The 2 of us there only missed about 3 minutes.

I think a good policy is that if anyone plans on going to a non-Summer's place to see a game, someone call first, then post that here (and the fact that you arranged for the game to be shown.) It's probably important that the one arranging to show the game actually show up.

We don't want to piss off places like Grevey's towards DC United. They were very accomodating tonight, even though they were caught off guard.

Due to the thunderstorms I lost my satellite feed in the 60th minute. I followed the game using my cell phone's mLife Yahoo & service which I was trying out at $ 5.99 a month. I think I'll keep this service for the time being.
