Curbs had been finding it difficult to sign players due to his transfer budget. That was all resolved when he got Di Canio for free and, apparently, on a much cheaper wage than they were planning to pay for a top striker. As result, they were able to sign Hughes who they had been looking at and also sign Leite as that much needed backup. Maybe Leite will wind up being a good keeper for the future. We'll see what happens.
I have to be honest. I wasn't too optimistic about a week ago. But with all the moves in the last few days, especially the Di Canio signing, has given me hope for a finish in the top half of the table.

These recent signings should help out. If nothing else they should give the team some depth. Can't wait untill sunday.

3. Leite
4. The guy who started on sunday.
