The MLS Reserve Division schedule is posted yet again first on the US Pro Soccer database site before MLSnet.com get around to posting it. MLS is wisely looking to contain travel costs this season - all teams only play a home and an away game against teams in their own conference to get their 12 games. While we all know that these games are subject to change at any time for sudden schedule congestion, banged up squads lacking guest players and other reasons, here is the schedule for those of us who like seeing the up-close action at the RFK Aux Field or sticking around a day after a road trip to catch the reserves in action (all kick-offs are 10:00 am local time):
Sunday March 30 - DC United @ Kansas City
Friday April 18 - Columbus @ DC United
Saturday May 10 - Chicago @ DC United
Thursday May 22 - DC United @ Toronto
Sunday May 25 - Toronto @ DC United
Friday May 30 - DC United @ New England
Sunday June 8 - DC United @ Chicago
Sunday August 3 - Kansas City @ DC United
Sunday August 10 - DC United @ New York
Sunday August 31 - New York @ DC United
Friday October 17 - New England @ DC United
Sunday October 26 - DC United @ Columbus
With two Friday 10:00 am games at the Aux Field this season, there will be lots of folks taking early lunches or arriving to work late those days. There is even a Saturday morning game this season.
