I would not be soo confident Squid and EQ... Bayern has not pulled a Bayern in some time and I certainly hope this is not the game, but it is coming... trust me.

I will take a legitimate header or another quality that is not just off his hip, a defender, or from inside the 6. Although, really I am not picky.

I think this game will really depend if we score early. If we score early, we could be in for a goal fest. If not, we could be in for a Bayern pulling a Bayern. :p

You have to eliminate Demichelis. Hitzfeld suspended him for this match. Apparently, Demichelis has a problem with where Hitzfeld wants to play him.

I love Micho but he has to be more understanding and recognize that we need a guy like him in the DM. We're not exactly loaded players being able to play that position and van Bommel being suspended isn't helping out either. I understand why he wants to play CB, playing for the Argentinian NT is very important to him and he does that at the CB spot. Maybe he fears Hitzfeld intends to use him as a DM from now and that will severely injure his shot at playing as a starter for his country.

fact of the matter is this...He came to Bayern as a CB...and did not get much if any playing time his first year. He then gets moved to DM where he has an above average year, but we all hear complaints of his slowness. The following year (last year), he has a pretty bad season at DM and there are even calls from people on this board for him to leave Bayern. He gets back to his CB position and plays great, but due to the lack of good DM's in the squad...he gets thrown back there. I would imagine that he is pretty tired of it and just voiced a grievance with frustration.

Wouldn't be the first time a quality player in the squad has been suspended.

DeMichelis is in excelent form this season (as defender and as midfielder), finally what Bayern invested in him is paying off, even if one can understand his complains to play as DM, he should stuck to what his coach decides, football teams are not a democracy.

Whatever het gets as punishment is well deserved.

I agree. I love Micho and he has been one of our 5 best players this season but the team is more important than the individual. Hitzfeld isn't asking him to make DM his permanent position, he is just covering until we get MvB back.

I do agree on his skepticism about the Argentine NT though and his spot being put in jeopardy. The Argentina NT's management has been quite stupid over the last couple of years and I wouldn't put it past them to ignore Micho (who is the best Argentina CB at the moment) just because he is playing a few games in DM.
