The main question is: Who will be replacing our leader and "head of the team" Patrick Pauuwe (suspended due to his 5th yellow card).

Frage nach Paauwe-Ersatz bleibt offen
Die dringendste Frage vor dem Derby am Ostermontag bei Alemannia Aachen wird erst am Spieltag beantwortet. Wer ersetzt den gesperrten Patrick Paauwe?

There's 4 alternatives: Polanski, Svard (just recovered from injury), Daems or Voigt.
However, it surely won't be easy to compensate such an experienced & cool player like Pauuwe in the expected hostile & hot-blooded Tivoli atmosphere. We lost the last matches in Aachen (the 0:1 Cup semi final defeat from 2003 still hurts), nearby the hosts will be as top-motivated against us as they had been against Cologne. They lost the last 2 home matches, so they normally can't afford another home defeat (especially not in a prestigious derby).
Well, it's gonna be a tough match for sure ... so I'm a little bit sceptical and would be very contented with a draw! All depends on how our guys will be coping with the atmosphere in that old & narrow-built stadium and the loss of Patrick Pauuwe. We have to stay cool and must not react on provocations ... especially Sascha Rösler, who certainly will be booed & abused during the whole game.
Auf geht's Jungs, zeigt den Öchern die Krallen!!! ;)
No more Ultras Mönchengladbach:

You know I'm all for reasonable ticket prices, terraces, flags, choreaos etc but maybe I'm too old because the mindset of most Ultras (96% of whom are 16 year old middle-class kids unlike their Italian idols) is totally alien to me.
Seriously, did the first post make anyone else laugh? Ridiculous.
For those who don't understand German:
'Apparently" Ultras of 1. Fc Köln stole their biggest flag and according to the 'Ultra code' that means that they had to dissolve in order to save face.
Okay...

I originally had "unsellable", but I edited it to "unbuyable". I think unsellable is the more literal translation, but "unbuyable" makes more sense given the context.
Ok, then you might be right (since you are a native English speaker).
Btw: What is the difference between "unsalable" and "unsellable"?

Pretty weird story in my eyes. So there's no more Ultras Fürth and no more Ultras Mönchengladbach...
It's really sad :( ... since without the Ultras, the atmosphere surely will get worse at Borussia-Park (just remember the whole flags & choreos). But then I also remember that the relatively young Ultras Scene wasn't really accepted in MG by many other groups & fan clubs ... so the fanbase is/was split (many fans didn't participate on the support at BP because they didn't like the new songs of the Ultras).
Well, it happened ... and now we have to cope with their absence. Just curious what all those guys will be doing, hence. Staying silent in the fan curve or forming a new group.
Good night and Happy Easter to everybody.

Theyre not gonna stop going to the games. They just dissolved the group UMG. Surely a new group or severall new groups will form eventually... But dissolving the group does not mean they all go and play chess or tennis now on the weekend.
@fraeulein: Believe it or not, there is a bit more behind most Ultra groups then 16 year old middle class kids...

I know that they will continue to attend the home games. The question is whether they are going to participate on the support or just stay there. I fear there will be a significant decrease in support without the Ultras & their "Vorsänger"...
Btw: Do you think that the Ultras Frankfurt would disband as well in the case that their main banner should get stolen? That's pretty childish in my eyes...

That there probably will be, as there needs to be a "reorganization", which might imo turn out to be a good thing for the gladbach kurve, if as you say, many peoeple didnt like the UMG. Maybe this is the time to form a united Kurve in the new stadium... The momentary situation of the team, and them having a great shot for promotion might just help in that! But heck, I dont know anything about the internal proeblems of gladbachs fanscene, we'll see what happens I guess.
I know that a section of the UF disbanded some years ago after losing their banner. Thats how it goes. The banner that represents the group is a major part in that subculture, and if for them it doesnt work to just go on after losing it, I might not 100% agree or understand, but I certainly accept it... I certainly hope that the UF store their stuff somewhere a little more safe tough!

"Prepare to battle"
For the journalists attending today's press conference ahead of Monday's trip to Alemannia Aachen (kick-off: 2015 CET), the main question was who will replace Patrick Paauwe.

C'mon guys, let's conquer the Tivoli tonight!!! ;)
Let's hope that we'll find a good solution to replace Pauuwe and that Sascha Rösler will keep his nerve...

Well, I've got one of those, but I do not recall the season. Unfortunately, my Kicker Sonderheft's are packed away, so I may not be able to look it up right away. This was some time between the end of the Puma contract and when they picked up Reebok in the late 1990s. I want to say 1994-1996 or so, but it's just a guess.

We got Reebok in 1995 (-2003) and had Puma until 1992 ... so I suppose that Asics must have been our trikot sponsor from 1992-1995 (unfortunately I can't remember it exactly).
I'm off to a friend now, where we're watching tonight's derby.
Auf geht's, Jungs!!!

Am quite sure during BERND KRAUSEs tenure we had ASICS uniforms...goes back to dahlin, klinkert, kastenmeier, wynhoff Era...after these jerseys we won the german cup with new uniforms(same asics uniforms..only difference there was green markings on the shoulder area..like camouflage markings:D) so before the season we won the german-cup am quite sure

My wife calls those the "cow" jerseys as the spots on them make one look like a black and white (and green:D) cow....

Borussia seal point in Aachen
With ten minutes left of the match Oliver Neuville latched on to a Soumaila Coulibaly pass to give Borussia a thoroughly deserved point at Alemannia Aachen after they had fallen behind to a third-minute strike.
