Just saw "Once in a Lifetime" which is a documentary about the old New York Cosmos of the NASL. How is this related to Borussia, you might ask? Well, when discussing the transfer of Beckenbauer to New York, they showed about a 30 second clip of Beckenbauer playing for Bayern--vs, of course, our beloved Borussia, ca. 1976 or 1977!

The highlights where not impressive...seemed like a high-school football match !
Almost like a training session btwn the same squad...i wish we could have helped them to survive tho..and get our entry license to the bundesliga on our home game this week against wehen:rolleyes:

Brouwers managed to score against us...well his up there in the charts now since i cant even remember when was the last time a gladbacher scored an own-goal by mistake???

Patrick Pauuwe scored a superb header own goal in Freiburg, too. ;)

Well, the Dutchmen seem to have a faible for such things...:D

Bonne nuit.

Tomorrow night could become very emotional, when the fans will say "good bye" to Manolo ... and are hopefully celebrating our re-promotion to the 1 Bundesliga after the game.

Damn, I wish I could be at Borussia-Park. :-)

Luhukay out to cap a great season

Borussia can seal promotion with a home win over SV Wehen tomorrow evening. And that, of course, is what they will set out to do.

The foals are back!

Mönchengladbach beat Wiesbaden to secure a return to the top-flight. A good day for Köln and Hoffenheim, rather less so for Mainz and Freiburg.

PS: Jogi Löw was at Borussia-Park today. Did you scout only Oliver Neuville ... or maybe also Marko Marin? ;)

Congratulations everybody! You are definitely worth, playing in the 1. Bundesliga!
Unfortunatelly, you ruined our chances for a derby next season, eh? ;)

Congratulations! Good to see you achieved promotion without sacking the coach with whom you suffered relegation before. This success might be regarded as a result of consistency.
