Spent a little time near your location in August...at Ironbridge.

Wearing a DC United polo, of course.
Lovely place. For any Yanks planning a trip to England, I much recommend it. The pic is a view of the town from the bridge, the first bridge ever built of iron.
So what's the story about wanting to get back? That implies that you've been here before.
You do know it is very hard to get hand-pumped-from-the-cellar bitter here, don't you?

Damn, I do miss England. Only there once, and fell in love with the place.

I have been to 2 DC United games before...
June 2002 to see DC - LA (Won 1-0)
October 2005 to see DC - NY (Lost 2-1)
So its been 2 and a half years since my last visit.

I was just there in December and am going back in May.
And probably September.
I'm pretty sure the trip this past December was my tenth to England since 1997.

You and I both!!
I've been looking over the schedule to plan it out. My best buddy, brother, father and even my wife have also expressed interest in coming up with me. I guess I'm not the only with this fever.:p

I'm going to England for ten days in June. I think my wife and I could buy a yacht for less than what this is going to cost.

I couldn't find a ticket in June for under $1000.
My May ticket was $670 on Virgin.

Um, that's because you're travelling in high season. Go in the early spring or fall, unless you like spending a lot of time outdoors.

Yes Mr. Mathai, I realize that. :)
I went in December for $500 so paying $670 in May seemed reasonable.
But, I won't pay $1000+ for June.

I know you know that.
Anyway, what's the difference between $670 and $1K? A couple of pints?

What my tax refund could support. :)
Luckily once there, my expenses are minimal.
And I'll be there during the proposed USA v England game at Wembley.

Note to self: don't ever offer to buy Matt a beer.
