Interview with Benny talking about getting back and missing the team gelling in the preseason. Believe it or not, he is talking about playing in the first league game! Wow!
I don't think there are many players in the league as driven as Benny. He just blows me away sometimes.

Here's hoping he is right!
Enjoy.

While he's been slacking off during recovery, we got a recent photo of him:

I love Benny.

That is all.

Me too. I've just gotten into soccer over the last few years so I missed Benny as a young gun. He must have been an animal cuz he's still one now

What about Esky?

By 'that is all' I was not implying Benny is the only one I love, only that that was all I had to say in this particular forum.

I better e-mail Esky and tell him that you still love him.

I remember Benny as a young gun, and he was great fun to watch. He ran incessantly, right to the final whistle. I seem to remember an interview with his mother, who revealed that he was the classic ADD kid who couldn't sit still. I do remember wondering why most of his crosses from the right wing were grounders, but then I realized he was trying to connect with Roy "Head of Stone" Lassiter, so it made sense.

On a more serious side, I'm pleased that he hopes to be ready for the first league match, but I think we have to be prepared for a longer recovery as well as the possibility that age and recurring ankle problems will limit him for the rest of his career. That's why I'm glad we signed Q and stole Kirk.

Benny is the man... in fact i remember watching him play in high school. I think it was his senior year that he broke a bone and missed half a season and still practically led the league in scoring.
