Bar's usually turn up the sound if there's a crowd begging for it (getting a consistent crowd for games helps too). I've been to McGinty's and watched downstairs with the sound. Never been to Haydees, it's a new viewing location so we're going to see how it works out.

If you're out in Laurel you might want to give the Columbia place a try, they will have sound if there's a group.

hmmm, i work about equal distance between mcgintys and haydees, but columbia would be closer to home. of course, there is always my couch. . .

for clarification, the game is at 8 right? the ccc website (http://www.concacaf.com/competitions/match3.asp?id=1&year=2008) say 1900?

Babylon has put sound up for DCU games in the past.

I'd go there if I weren't already going to the Caps game. First time the Flames have been here in 4 years; it's DVR for DCU for me.

Look, now this threat is equal opportunity! Barra viewing party at Finn's! (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=667167)

All better? I feel like average fans might not be aware of viewing parties due to their presence in supporter group threads. Maybe a combined "DC Match Viewing Party for Such and Such a match thread" in the future would be a good idea, or such postings in the pre-match thread? I don't know, thinking out loud now at the risk of being called names...

no need to post ours, anyone that's interested in Barra knows where to find it or where to go. If not, it's sign we need to be more visible where it counts (stands). Thanks.

Everyone is welcome at SE viewing parties. I think they get posted out here in the main board for that reason, but I'm retired as a moderator, so my memory fails me from time to time.

Well, I'm not employed by the government, but I've got the whole right wing conspiracy going for me.

As all of these viewing parties are being held at businesses I'd say everyone, everywhere is welcome. Even Harbour View fans. ;)

NO D.C. VIEWING TONIGHT AT
Haydees (upstairs)
3102 Mount Pleasant Street NW
Washington, DC
(202) 483-9199

Just checked in with Haydee's - they have FSE, not FSC. This means no viewing at Haydee's since FSE is showing the game delayed.

Instead we will be at Tonic in MtP, just half a block down the street from Haydee's. They will be putting the game on and making some space for us in the back. Hope to see some folks from NW there.

Tonic (downstairs bar)
3155 Mt. Pleasant St. NW
Washington DC, 20010

map/info is here (http://www.tonicrestaurant.com/mp/info) - only two blocks from Columbia Heights Metro

Fantastic news. I'm Barra but live in MtP so this works out very well for me.
