Great new for HSV, though.

If we don't get Klopp, we can get Slomka. ;)

HSV have been sniffing around Slomka long before he was sacked today...As a coach he´s comparable to Stevens I guess, a bit more clueless when it comes to changing players though.

Mike Büskens and Youri Mulder are taking over until the end of the season. Then probably Twente's Fred Rutten in the summer if you believe the rumors.

Fred Rutten..Gus Hiddinks former assistant and the current Twente coach, we could do worse I guess.

Schalke Coach Mirko Slomka was sacked this morning, after th 5:1 loss to Bremen yesterday.

What a weird decision to sack a manager, who reached the 1/4 final of the CL, just due to a defeat in a game they totally dominated in the 1st half!

Well, let's see which "Welttrainer" will be on Gazprom's list now. Mourinho should be free *lol* ... but what about engaging the stubborn Dickie from Zenit in order to sign 20 new "stars" within 1 transfer period? :p

I feel really sorry for Mirko Slomka (very sympathetic person) and think he didn't deserve such a treatment!

And played great 2 leag games against Bercholna ...
Heh... this the problem with most fans... the first thing they have in mind is, blame the coach and fire him!

And not only that, but also, blame the manager for what?? Schalke haven't been poor, they've played a good season in my eyes...

We have been talking about sacking Slomka for almost two years...Forget about the Bremen game being more than an excuse...:D

umm why sacking him? Ist becuase he get you to a place in CL that you never get in your life?

or ist becuase he forget to tell Kurani to shoot on the goal when he is alone against the keeper not outside?

Fred Rutten..Gus Hiddinks former assistant and the current Twente coach, we could do worse I guess.

Indeed. Rutten's been linked to a multitude of clubs over the past couple of months, including Feyenoord and PSV (Rutten refused to leave midseason as he didn't want to let the club down).

He's a marvellous coach and has a proven track record of improving players, especially youngsters. He's let Twente play the best positional game I've ever seen in Enschede. He's rubbish with the media though.

Oh and he's the opposite of arrogant. He's a no-nonsense countryboy who likes gardening and whose only sin is that he goes out for a beer on Sunday nights with his best pal Guus Hiddink. Bild aren't going to find anything to write about with him.

You don´t have to be an oracle to realize that Schalke was not going forward as a footballing side under Slomka, you think our current situation is the height of our ambitions..? :D

As our coach he really needs a whip in one hand and a gun in the other...But I like this notion that he´s a gardener, that´s the kind of mind-set we need at Schalke.

5-0...5-0 against a team that did beat us earlier....Buskens and Mulder will get a two weeks honeymoon with the fans now.

Best homewin for us in the bundesliga since 1991...:D

Unless "the rest of the world" is within the Lippi, Ruhr and Rhine borders they have no say in this matter...Or do Bayern make their decisions based on what people in China or America think?
