Sounds like Rusty's out for the E-Quakes match - not good news. Gus suggests that Cullen or even Joseph could play there.
More good news, Joe-Max Moore's strained MCL means that he, "might not be fit to play again until mid-September."

Where did you hear that Rusty's out, I didn't see that in either article?
The fact that Nicol is looking at Cullen or Joseph (surely he's not serious?) to replace Heaps, may just mean that he wants to keep Pierce in the middle.

According to the Aug. 10th article(Nicol no fan of Serna) Vazquez didn't even travel with the team to DC?

That's b.s.
He has a guy in front of him who is much better - end of story. And if you were to sub for Cancela, it wouldn't be to put another offensive player in, so unless Cancela gets injured, Vazquez isn't going to play.
When Vazquez was signed, there was word that he could also play forward. I'd like to see them try that while JMM is out.

Oh c'mon...
From the sound of things it would seem that Vasquez was brought in to play in the middle when the Revs thought Cancela couldn't be signed - Vasquez was the Revs insurance policy...
... but the Revs were able to get Cancela and Vasquez has since become surplus.
Simple as that.
