I'm on Gmail and can't go back to anything else without being frustrated (threaded messages, search, contacts, etc.). I still have an old Hotmail account and it's gross in comparison.

Does anyone still use non-web based email? Except for work?

I have an old hotmail account I hardly ever use, and a Gmail account.

Then there's my work account and another home account linked to my cable service provider.

Still have a Yahoo! account for my real name, it's about 10 years old. I like GMail but Yahoo! still has a couple advantages.

I use spamgourmet for disposable mail addresses, i.e. just about everything nowadays.

I'd like to use non-web mail but GMail never really works well with mail readers.

For my real account I have a .Mac account, for signing up for things on sites, registering for forums, etc. I have a gmail account.

I have Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail.

I was using the old versions of Yahoo/Hotmail because they were reliable in receiving emails quickly. But, i got tired of hitting F5 to refresh the page as the old yahoo/hotmail dont refresh automatically. So, i tried the new versions of yahoo/hotmail and the retrieval of mail was incredible slow.

I now started using Gmail and it's fantastic. Receives emails instantly and groups everything from a person.

One thing that's weird with Gmail is when i receive/reply a single message multiple times (50x) at some point it doesnt allow me to continue the email and forces me to compose a new mail? Maybe theres a storage limit in terms of text? b'oh.

But GMAIL is greeeeat!!!

GMail is my one and only email account. Thanks to it's really awesome spam system, I have no need for multiple accounts.

I think I average about 4 spams in my inbox each month, if it's even that many.

I love the whole "webmail" concept of checking email from any computer in the world. I do remember the painful days of having to use a certain computer to check e-mail. Sure, I -could- check e-mail on another computer, but then i'd have some on this computer and other e-mail on that computer. Not fun.

Nothing else comes close to GMail.

i have a hotmail and yahoo, although i only check my yahoo once every couple of months or so. i do have to say that i've never understood all the complaints about getting spam on hotmail. sure, i get junk mail, but it always goes to the junk folder. i haven't gotten one single piece of spam in my hotmail inbox in well over a year, maybe two... and i get plenty of email. i just think people aren't using the filters like they're supposed to.

i am planning on getting a gmail account soon, though... just to complete the trio.

I have a Gmail and Yahoo account. When I send an email out from either account, it automatically put my name on it. Is there a way for me to turn off this feature?
