Adu is in the US getting ready for the pre-olympics.
No Adu, no David Luiz, no Petit, no Binya, no Maxi, no Makukula, no Nuno Gomes... and 2 juniors. Should be a hard game missing so many important players and with so many players not 100%... the important thing is to not suffer any goals.

Murphy's Law much?
Cardozo red carded at 9'min for a elbow in the face during a run, a goal out of nowhere off a deflection from Edcarlos, Luisão gets injured (probably came out of injury too soon for this game...), everything in less than the first 30 minutes.
With almost no players in the bench, no players in starting line up, this doesn't look good.
Surprisingly, or not, we are playing quite good and a 1-1 or 2-1 result would be more fair (but what is that worth in football?). Getafe isn't doing much, even with one more man on the field, but I can see them scoring again once our players get tired and we lose the eliminatory playing better than our opponent... lets see.

yeah, an unfortunate first half hour for Benfica...hopefully they can put one in.

Well I'm proud of the exhibition, within the limitations obviously.
Getafe with the advantage on the eliminatory, but I think it can go both ways.
Getafe didn’t impress me at all, the second goal was quite good actually but other than that… not much.
They should have done better against ten men (exhibition wise) but they got a very positive result either way.
Very bad luck in our first half, what the hell happened there… :eek:
