It's getting that time.. only 11 games left.. less than a quarter of the season to go and the Championship is wide open. Only 3 points seperate the last playoff spot and 11th place, currently held by Crystal Palace. Just want to know, who do you want to see promoted to the EPL? It looked as if it would be West Brom & Watford but since then these two sides have slipped and Stoke, and Bristol City have gone to the top. Which is my next question, how in the world did Bristol City do it? They came up 2nd behind Scunthorpe in League 1 last season and may make the remarkable leap from League 1 to Premiership within one year. Have they had some sort of recent cash injection? Any big name players?

Anyhoo, looking at the tables, who do you want to see promoted to the EPL next season?

I would chose the wolves bc they are the greatest team ever and the most dedicated to their fans. the let me do a beer bong and keg stand at halftime wityh the players to keep me from leaving and to get more money. Hey do any of you ppl know richard simmons bc hes a great guy and i like the way he dances and makes you believe you ca do anything and everything esp looking inot his eyes. But off that note i think the wolves deserve it for all of the hard work they put into it and also it will help them get some and make money so pick them and they will go to the top of the table next year... i guransheed it!

ha ha, D?rby C??nty's proud record will be under threat next season i imagine.

Just to fill you in on Bristol City - Bristol is a fairly large city so therefore they ought to be a bigger club with a large fanbase - but it's very much rugby territory.......it's never been a big football town, and neither of their football clubs have ever really achieved much.

Hull and Stoke are both crumbling, depressing, down-at-heels cities full of abandoned buildings and burned-out cars. I've been to both, and it's undeniably true. Hull is also more of a rugby town than a football town. Stoke, however is a football hotbed and has been since the 19th century. Stoke City used to be one of the big clubs back in the day.

Hopefully Burnley can go up via a last minute push into the playoffs. I really want them to go up.

Then we can beat them again before they get relegated with the worst points total ever. Spend loads of cash trying to stay up, fail and go into freefall.

Ah happy days ;)

Im happy with anyone who comes up as it they will take the 3 relegation places next season. When the Championship is tight it normally indicates the league is of a poorer quality.

Last season Birmingham, derby and ourselves were a good 10 points ahead of the rest of the league and Derby apart have given a good representation of the Championship. This season its very tight, if these teams cant pull away from Championship sides they will fall like a stone next season.

Id like to see Stoke, Bristol City and Wolves come up.

Stoke and Bristol City will be piss poor

Wolves because i like mick mccarthy, did an excellent job for us when we looked like doing a leeds.

Yeah I think anyone who comes up this year will really struggle, West Brom might hold their own for a while but I think they'll go straight down.

On the other hand the Championship's going to be strong next year with Derby, Fulham and Bolton/Birmingham in it. Especially if the Baggies stay down. Charlton will probably be stronger too. It'll be a nighmare league to get out of next year.

Well here's the updated table... with only about 3 games to go... I think FA cup semifinalists WBA are obviously the favorites. Hull, Stoke, Bristol City and Watford to battle it out for 2nd place me thinks - only three points seperating those 4. The race for the last playoff spot is tight too.

Remaining fixtures of top 5:
WBA vs. Norwich (A), Southampton (H), QPR (A)
Hull vs Sheffield United (A), Crystal Palace (H), Ipswich (A)
Stoke vs. Bristol City (H), Colchester (A), Leicester (H)
Bristol City vs. Stoke (A), Sheffield Utd (A), Preston (H)
Watford vs. Crystal Palace (H), Scunthorpe (H), Blackpool (A)

After WBA, I have to say I fancy Stoke's remaining fixtures.. they have Bristol City at home, win that and then it's games against lower-half table team (Colchester are already relegated btw). If Stoke get the end of the season jitters though, then I think Watford may capitalize... Hull may be many neutrals favorites; however, they have a tough run in against 3 playoff chasing teams. BC I reckon to the playoffs.

I want new clubs to come up for a change. I'm fed up with WBA, Watford, Crystal Palace etc. It would be different to see the likes of Hull, Bristol City and Stoke in the Premier League.

Most people are saying they will struggle and will be worse than Derby. Well, nobody can predict the future. Personally, i hope those three do come up and at least 2 of them survive. Ever the optimist eh?

i hope those three come up also but they will drop like lead balloons. Bristol City have a goal difference of 0.

The team of those three who would have a chance would be Stoke but they would also struggle badly. WBA apart none of the teams in the mix have any players who can step up to premeirship level imo.

We won the league last season and won promotion a lot more comfortably and only 6 players from the team are reguarly involved in the team now.

Stokes star players are lawrence and Fuller who have flopped in the premiership.

I reckon if they had A LOT MORE money and a bigger squad, Cardiff could do well in the Premier League. They play good football and (despite what people think about Wales only caring about egg chasing) have a big fan-base.

A new stadium is being built, Dave Jones is one the best managers in the Championship IMO and they have good players already; Whittingham, Ledley, Ramsey etc. They just can't keep hold of them for long enough to build any real success.

Youre right but they wont make the playoffs, they are relying on too many teams to slip up to get in.

WBA are all but mathematically promoted. with two games to play, 5 points clear and a far superior goal difference. Congrats in advance!
Stoke are almost there. The playoffs look pretty much set with Palace & Watford the familiar faces... but I still want to see Hull and Bristol battle it out in the final @ Wembley... WBA, Stoke & Bristol City/Hull for me in the premiership. Either way, one of Stoke, BC or Hull will definitely be coming up next season. A second may join via playoffs.

Congratulations looks like youve made it, seems lawrence has matured since he left us as well has had an excellent season.

Still he is way too slow for the premiership, youll find that out next season.
