El equipo de Jorge Luis Pinto tendrá dos rivales del Viejo Continente como preparación para las eliminatorias al Mundial de Sudáfrica 2010. Francia, como ya se había anticipado, enfrentará a Colombia el 3 de junio y ahora surge la posibilidad de Irlanda.

El juego ante los irlandeses, selección que dirige el italiano Giovanni Trapattoni, está por confirmarse porque aún falta firmar unos documentos. Sin embargo, todo marcha por buen camino. El juego sería el 29 de mayo en Inglaterra.

Este sería el segundo duelo internacional de Trapattoni como seleccionador de Irlanda. El 24 de mayo el equipo de ese país se medirá ante Serbia, en el Croke Park de Dublín. Además, los irlandeses cumplirán con un riguroso plan de preparación que incluye un campo de concentración en Portugal.

Días después, el 3 de junio, el rival de Colombia será Francia, en París. Dos rivales importantes para los dirigidos por Jorge Luis Pinto. No obstante, mientras llegan estas fechas, Colombia confirmó dos juegos preparatorios más.

Uno será el 24 de marzo en Fort Lauderdale, Estados Unidos, ante el equipo dirigido por el colombiano Reinaldo Rueda, Honduras. Por último, a finales de abril el contendor será Venezuela, en el estadio Alfonso López de Bucaramanga.

2-2 Uruguay with a mixed squad
March 26 vs Honudras - most likely a mixed or young team
April vs Venezuela - Mixed team
May 29th vs Ireland - playing time is over, final cut list hopefully
June 3rd vs France - Final team

Alot of euro teams have games starting May 25 June 3rd

France has games May 27th and May 31st, hopefully we can get 1 more Euro team

Also last time we beat Venezulea was by a lucky free kick by Bustos !!! Its not like we beat them 5-0 every single time...

the 2 times before that we lost 1-0 at home and tied them 0-0 away


Venezulea - Colombia are good games, but again it doesnt matter if we win here but in qualifers so when its WC Colombia is there

we need to be like Paraguay who dont really take friendlies to serious and do well... but who are 1st in SA right now?

You have a point, elviejomen, and I know that futbol & politics have NO business together but I thought it was necessary to bring up the issue. However, I hear that there has been some progress on the diplomacy front between our nations.

nahh you are not too dramatic you got the point right but fifa always use futbol as a way to unite nations... but yeah is really bad to mix futbol and politics

next game is none fifa day so pinto needs to blow coachs to give him players...

no copa lib or euros or players from abroad

Only Falcao is confirmed ( River thanking Pinto for not bringing him against Honduras)

Maybe Rodagella as his Mexi team always lets him come when he is called, and Vargas (who Boca plead not to take)

and a bunch of Colombian based players

I dont really see any players in our league standing out... I like a few midfielders that we can try like Luis Moquera of Santa Fe, Gio Moreno, Stallin Motta, Arango..... but defenders other than Amrero of America de Cali I dont see us having especially if no Nacional players can come this can be tough

para falcao seguro q no hay libertadores pero en 4 dias despues de ese partido hay superclaico igual va estar suplente, de resto creoq boca si creo q tiene pero se supone q pa esa fecha ya estaria clasificado ya arsenal ya esta eliminado en caso de jossimar espero q cucuta no tenga libertadortes

no ps por el lado de colombia no se ha habaldo de eso igual a a pinto no es q le gusto probar muchos jugadores nuevos................lo q si se espera es q se van a a convocar a los mejores jugadores en lo q va de esta copa mustang q la mayoria son jovenes pero ya de 21-22-23-24
