Someone on this board said that we have a match planned with the US, I don't know when though.

A spokesperson at Soccer Australia told me some weeks back for an article I was working on at the time-- and this was AFTER the Oceania Nations Cup debacle, mind you-- that they were still in negotiations to have away friendlies against the USA, Spain, Portugal and South Korea. No dates were suggested, but the timetable for these matches to be played was due to occur within a period of 12-15 months.
I'm sure that remains the case, but we'll see what happens.
Cheers,
William

With concern with matches against Spain and Portugal, one would guess that those matches will certainly be in Europe.

As long as the team actually starts playing some games, I don't mind if the games are played overseas.

All the matches would be away fixtures.
With the sad state of affairs that Soccer Australia has been experiencing, they can't guarantee any kind of rich appearance bonuses for a team to play them on home soil-- despite the fact that a game against the Koreans or the USA would be a spectacle worthy of being staged at the MCG, for example.
And nothing has been announced yet, but I'll try and get an update as soon as I possibly can.
Cheers,
William
