I think there's a Highbury College in Portsmouth. Also there used to be a library in London called something similar, but i might be wrong.

You're worried about that? A better question would be: why is Charlton still listed under Premiership teams?

Highbury is district that is part of Islington. The link between that and Arsenal FC is a total mystery though. Perhaps an interent search might turn something up. Who knows?

Good point.

And why's it still called 'Premiership' when the league changed it's name to 'Premier League' earlier this season?

We need to kick the asses of those in charge.

There was a house on a hill in the area, so manor was called Highbury.
I'm just wondering if the clock at Highbury Park was orignally housed somewhere else.

The hill used to be an ancient burial mound - the highest in London, hence the name High Bury, or Highbury as it became.

Newcastle's St James' Park is also a former burial site, which is why it's often referred to as "the talent graveyard".

Are you sure it's not because it's a dark hole that sucks away players' talent?
