Hey guys, I know this isn't really Arsenal related, but it is beer related and something tells me you guys probably talk (and drink) beer as much as you talk Arsenal.

So, here's the question - Which bar in LA serves the best pint of Guinness? Connoisseurs of the beverage know that a proper pour is both a science and an art.

What is the ArseAm bar in LA? Are we friends with Gary at the Fox & Hound? Does he pour the best pint?

A final note of full disclosure - many of you know me as the founder of Arsenal America. I'm also in PR and one of our clients is Guinness. We have a consumer who says he can't find a decent pint in LA, so we're looking to help him out.

Thanks everybody!

Rick

Rick,

Gary sold the Fox & Hound within the past year. When talking to him about Rick B's swing through LA with the FA Cup, he recommended Kings Head in Santa Monica. Can't speak to the quality of the pint, but it apparently is the new ArseAm hang out.

Britannia and Kings Head in Santa Monica (3rd Street Promenade) for great atmosphere, Cock'n'Bull (for watching games), Father's Office (Santa Monica on Montana St.) for a an extremely large selection of great beer. Britannia is my hang out, very friendly staff and bartenders and great small pub atmosphere, and do have a Guinness Perfect Pint Plaque, but then again don't most pubs? O'Briens on Wilshire in Santa Monica is my choice for an Irish Pub.

You might want to try checking out yelp or citysearch for user reviews of pubs here in LA - but I think most of the good spots have already been listed above.

First beer I ever bought legally! In the Tavern.

But yeah, I could really only have one stout, then it's back to a lager. Stella is my favorite.

the only place i'm really familiar with in the long beach area is the aulde dubliner downtown.

there doesn't really seem to be a big footie following there but they have setanta on pretty much everytime i've been in -- fairly often since i work next door. the staff are awesome people and the people (the regulars) are cool people. lately, there's been more of the "hip" crowd in there but they're relatively harmless.

i'm not a beer drinker, though, so i couldn't tell you how good their pour is. :D
