Are they really gonna make us wait until January, 2009 to see the final nine episodes?
SciFi just pisses me off more and more as time goes on.
At this rate, they'll probably takeover the NHL contract from the former Outdoor Life Network. It'll fit in with the ECW block.
Battlestar is the only thing worth watching on SciFi. Once it's gone, they'll have nothing worth going to that channel for. It's sad, really.

Actually, there's also Doctor Who and (during the summer) Who Wants to Be a Superhero?. ;)

But I could see them trying to tie Lampkin in as a piece that connects the dots between BSG and the "prequel" spin-off with Lampkin's knowing Joseph Adama. Sort of borrowing from the "Daneel Olivaw" idea in Asimov's later Foundation books. Lampkin could be the fifth cylon, could be substantially older than he appears, and could be completely aware of these facts - choosing to remain hidden in the fleet.
You know, the more I think about it, and after reading the Wikipedia page on Caprica (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caprica_%28TV_series%29), I'm definitely thinking this is basically how it's going to go down.
I wouldn't be shocked to see Romo Lampkin actually be a non-aging Cylon from that time period.
I'm not sure I like it, but I can definitely see it being used to tie everything together.

After last night's episode, I'm becoming pretty certain that Felix is the 5th Cylon. The singing is what gave it away to me. When the previous four cylons were revealed (Tigh, Tyrol, Tory, Anders), it was associated with music. I think Felix's singing was significant in the same way. Why else would the episode end with his face and more singing? Does anyone know the song he was singing? My guess is that it's a song from our Earth, just how the song that "activated" the four cylons was from our Earth.
Just my $.02.
Their whole nice plan of attacking the resurrection hub is now going to be all screwed up because of Athena's shooting the lead rebel Six and because the hybrid made the damaged base star jump away like that.
Actually, the song Gaeta sings is an original composition by the show's composer, so that shoots my idea of it being from "our" Earth. Still, I think Gaeta could be the Cylon. Although what you guys are saying about Romo Lampkin also works really well. If it were Lampkin, I'd be happy because he was one of my favorite characters. The actor really hit that role out of the park.

love it when my ideas become popular:)

Great observations, but aren't Cylons unable to reproduce with each other? If that's the case, then that'd rule out Cally.
It turns out that Cylons can reproduce with each other after all (though I still doubt that Cally was one).

Which leads to another question--Can the other "Final Fivers" reproduce, too? And is this what might be one of the things that distinguishes them from the other Cylon models?

Damn. The series seemed to drift for a couple of episodes, but the last two have been excellent.
Holy crap. Suddenly we've gone from Roslin/Adama Sr. to Adama Jr./Tigh.
Holy crap.

his is whats bothering me about this episode...
the cat
lee comments about him not feeding the cat to find out that it has been dead for "weeks". this episode only lasts about what two days?
and when lee makes his comment he just sits there like no big deal
how does lee see the cat when it is dead? and kept in the bag (though could have been kept somewhere else)
am i just missing something here?

There was more than one cat.
MMM....I thought the cat was the same scene to scene.
I think the cat "he" sees is a similar phenomenon as when Baltar "sees" his Six, or Six sees her "Baltar".
Almost like a conscious or avatar.

Yeah, I pretty much thought the cat was a hallucination. Although I admit it was confusing.

hat makes this even more confusing for me now is i just finished the adama failed marriage show and seems like there is projection/hallucination in this episode for the admiral.
if i wasn't so convinced that baltar is not a cylon, mainly because it goes against everything he should be, i would think the adama boys are cylons for all these projections/hallucination.
hopefully they aren't and hopefully baltar is not the 13th cylon...this would kill the show for me and i would have to "box" my dvd's

So the cat is a cylon, too?

Romo mad reference to cats, multiple. Only one is still living, the other... Lee found.

well..no
if its unclear sorry i just got off work and this 12-8am shift is killing my brain
i couldn't remember lampkins name yesterday morning.
i was suggesting that the adama's may be a cylon family since it may be the final five can reproduce all they want...could have started with grandpa adama. i am suggesting this as a result of Lee "seeing" the cat a la projection.
i will be surprised if they make lampkin the final cylon after the preview tonight.
just got done watching the first episode with lampkin no other cat or reference to other cats yet

Well. Started slow, but in the end I thought it was a good episode. Nice to see Laura recover some of her own humanity.

I'm thinking about the "Last Supper" picture, and how Ronald D. Moore seemed to suggest that the 5th Cylon was NOT in that picture. I'm becoming more and more convinced that Moore's suggestion was just a bit of gamesmanship, and that the 5th Cylon is in fact in the picture. And I think it's Helo. For one thing, we seem to have discovered that members of the final five can, in fact, reproduce with other cylons-- Tigh impregnated the Six in the brig, therefore there would be no problem with Helo getting Athena (an Eight) pregnant. And this season has really revolved around Helo in a lot of ways--he was critical during Starbuck's actions looking for Earth and he was critical in last night's episode "The Hub."
And let's not forget that he was the one who saved the entire Cylon race from extinction in Season Three.
I just have a feeling it will be Helo. My girlfriend actually first proposed this theory to me, and the more I think about it, the more it seems correct. At this point if the final Cylon were a minor character, well, it would just be so LAME because this season has been really light on the minor characters (like Dualla, Cottle, Lampkin, etc, or any other minor character that some have proposed as the 5th cylon).
If the 5th Cylon were revealed as "surprise! It's Dualla!" that would land with a pathetic squishy splat, dramatically speaking. And this show's better than that.
Then again, the writers just might be good enough to make it work. We'll see.
And I bet we'll find out next week. From the "tease" it was clear enough that the rest of the fleet finds out about Tory, Tigh, Tyrol and Anders.

i hope your not right, it would be wrong on the writers to take away helo's humanity just like baltars.
i doubt it will be a character that we haven't really seen lately...on that note it also has to be a character that dianna knows, imo, because when she sees that finale five she says sorry to one of them and i douut/hope that it was to tigh.
