Sammer's view on the game, on the win against Wolfsburg, and the team internist.

I predicted a 5-2 Dortmund win in the CL prediction league. Here’s why: Sammer has found the formation that gets the best out of Rosicky and Amoroso. In the previous 2 years he played a 4-2-3-1 with Rosicky as the central and Amoroso as the left of the “3”. This really didn’t suit Amoroso because he is not a left-winger. This season Sammer began with Amoroso up front with Koller and Rosicky on the left. This was great for Amoroso but it didn’t get the best out of Rosicky. This weekend v. Wolfsburg he put three midfielders behind Rosicky and Amoroso and left Koller in the center of attack. This means that neither Rosicky nor Amoroso have to play on the wing and have a lot of freedom to be creative. Pushing Dede from LB to LM was another great move by the Coach. He gives the team a natural left foot in the midfield. So with all this I think BVB have a fantastic attacking trio that could do some serious damage in Europe. Brugge could be the first one to experience that.

Excellent analysis alo, but I think Brugge are a club not to be underestimated. We'll see though, eh?

2-1 Brugge what happend? This really is a huge let down, 1st leg loss in CL. Ok so a 2nd leg win at home and i can put this behind me. Anyone have a clue as to what f went wrong?

Anyone have a clue as to what f went wrong? 2-1 isn't a bad result really. After all, they do now have an away goal and a 1-0 win at home would be good enough to go through.

My prediction was really “great”!
Brugge overran Dortmund last night for most of the game. But I also think they went to their limit. They can’t play any better. Borussia still has enough quality to get through.
Brugge’s coach will do Dortmund a great favor if he plays Verlinden in goal again. He ‘s got an excellent Croatian keeper on the bench, Butina. I just hope he doesn’t remember that before the return leg.

Yes it was a bad mistake by the keeper for Dortmunds goal. As you say Brugge dominated the game last night. I was actually quite impressed with their performance. Dortmund could have a tough time winning this game in the return leg.

Situation could be much worse if Colina hadn't refused a pk to Brugge. But Dortmund scored an away goal, they need a simple win and therefore I think they'll advance

Man, that result was dissapointing. Nobody had the game I thought they would had. But whatever, its going to be a whole different game playing in the Westfalen.

Brugge should have beaten dortmund a lot higher. Thanks to Amoroso's goal Dortmund has a very good chance of advancing.
