What a shame, sorry I meant sham.

If he's paying to play well that just reaks.

There are two parts to Perugia. The actual team and the publicity engine. Gaucci runs the publicity engine - actually, he IS the publicity engine. Would the team EVER make the news around the world (USA Today?!!) if not for him? Nakata ... Ahn ... Gheddafi ... announcing they want a woman on the team ... on and on. He's obviously a strong advocate of the statement that "even bad publicity is good publicity".

Then there is Serse Cosmi and his rag-tag band of players who are one step away from making it to the UEFA Cup (okay, you're right - there is obviously some decent talent there, but like every other little team in Italy (Europe?), they know they can't keep anybody really good for very long . I'm rooting for them to progress, even as I smirk and roll my eyes at Gaucci's antics.

I got to meet Cosmi last December and I think he rolls his eyes as well at Gaucci's antics.
