Rothbury Music Festival July 3-6, 2008

Brand new Mega-Fest on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. For a first year lineup they pulled in some pretty good names:

Modest Mouse
Michael Franti and Spearhead
Government Mule

Slightly Stoopid
Keller Williams
Ray Lamontagne
Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi
Medeski Martin and Wood
and others

There's about a dozen bands there that I definitely want to see this summer. Their lineup looks a bit more diverse than Bonnaroo. It doesn't look like they have on-site camping, just lodging from what I can tell, which would be a bit of a disappointment. I think I'm going to go. Anyone else?

And DMB has 3 black guys in their lineup.

I wasn't talking about the lineup as much as I was talking about the audience. There will be more black people on stage during DMB than there will be paying attendees.
