Im sitting here at my desk almost in tears about the events of today. There's an ocean between me and St. Andrews in Birmingham, but after what has to be one of the ugliest moments in recent Premier League history, and a shock finish where victory was stolen at the very death, I feel very much the way William Gallas felt.
Eduardo gave so much to the club this year in his first season. He scored some huge goals, showed enormous quality and heart on several occasions, and was never above sacrificing himself for the greater good of the team. It was very clear today what he meant to the team, and the boys looked visibly sickened by what happens.
Moments like this are flashpoints in a sporting season, and there are several ways a team can respond. What Arsenal Football Club needs to do is put behind this most difficult day, and go forward with everything they've got. In spite of the thin squad we currently have, there is enough quality to absolutely put it on Villa, go to the San Siro and hammer that clearly overwhelmed side and put on a title run that our Brazilian/Croatian friend would be proud of.
At the beginning of the season, the team came out absolutely on fire, determined to prove they'd put the loss of Thierry Henry behind them, and it's time for that fire to be relit. This is a rallying point for this team and I'm more than confident the players AND the manager will take up the call.
So, if you're like me, dry your eyes, swallow that frog in your throat and perk up! We're gonna do it for Dudu!

Yeah, just gotta put this string of poor performances behind, and start displaying hunger for silverware.
Do it for Dudu I say!

I hope you're right. And if they do win it this year, I hope they can find a way to get Eduardo involved with the celebration, like they did a few years back with Pires when he was injured for the run in.

theres going to be revenge for this tackle, all i'll say is
"an eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind"
i hope there is no revenge attacks from arsenal fans against bcfc, we should rise above that, but dont be suprised if st andrews does get trashed, windows broken, grafitti and much more.

Sad but true. I do hope our fellow Gooners can rise above.

It will all come down to how bad our main men want it. By main men I mean Hleb and Fabregas. These guys are the heartbeat of the team and they need to get back to their early season form.
I have a good feeling about the villa game, and the team and fans will be ready to take care of business.
We really need to focus on getting Rosicky, Toure, and most importantly Van Persie healthy.

Eduardo is going to be lifting that Premiership trophy right along with the rest of them, even if he's got to do it on crutches.
COME ON! DO IT FOR EDUARDO!

If they were going to do it for Eduardo, a good start would have been not bottling it against mother********ing Birmingham for the second time this season.

Weak penno call didn't help.

Yea the pen call sucked but Im tired of us being in the position to have to pull my hair out the whole match against crap opposition. I give it to ManUre on how they put people away. Todays what 4-1 for them, thats what we need, we let teams hang around too long.
Anyways I hope that we can win it this year and get a chance to see Eduardo with the team.

Were going to do it. Not just for Eduardo, but to show every sub-par lower level, lower talent team that thinks the only way to beat Arsenal is to kick them (are you listening Blackburn, Bolton?) That the Arsenal wont back down

What does everyone think about all arsenal bigsoccer people putting something eduardo as their avatar. It would be cool if we all did the same thing like the back of his jersey.
