Seems i praised Wiese too much. :(
Horrible mistake at a distance shot
and Rangers lead 1-0 (42.).
That´s also the score at half-time.

Werder is the stronger team though. But now Rangers will crawl even deeper into their defensive bunker to protect this freak lead.

We had a good share of possession but a lot of passes went bad and we lost the ball too easily at times. We need to create more chances as an away goal will give us an advantage. But after being one up, Rangers would probably be looking to defend this lead.

The players need to concentrate more, the ball runs well for some contacts,
but then a player makes a technical mistake or a bad pass.

Good save by Wiese now, hope,
that gives him back some confidence.
With the 2-0 lead Rangers can
play a dangerous counter tactics,
but we need a goal.

Nice run and cross from Boenisch, only to be caught by the goalkeeper. We are in desperate need for a goal right now, but we haven't created much clear cut chances.
... and Jensen just had a shot saved.

Man, if one of our players could play a good cross
we would have chances and propably had already scored.
But all crosses are total s***.
We play total inefficient, ball possesion about 60-65%,
but create no chances. Cudos to Rangers for a real solid defense,
but our players must create more from it.

Doesn´t help, nobody creates chances today.
Currently it looks more like a 3-0 than a 2-1.

Rangers played very solid in defense
and were dangerous at counters.
It will be very difficult for us in the returning leg
to chance this result.
