View Full Version : Bayern on Television Thread

My cable company has finally added GolTV, which has enabled me to see this week's Hannover & Aberdeen matches (Yay!!). I just checked the schedule for Sunday's Hamburg match but did not see anything listed. Anybody know if GolTV regularly televises Sunday BL games? How about Pokal matches?
I also thought I'd point out that Soccertv.com no longer exists, at least not in the way that most of us remember it. Anybody have any other suggestions for tracking soccer programming on U.S. television?
Thanks.

Goltv puts out a schedule once a week. The Bayern match on Sunday is set to be aired on Goltv.

Thanks, I appreciate it.
FYI, http://www.livesoccertv.com/ is not a bad replacement for the ol' Soccertv.com.

GOLTV normally update their schedule by Wednesday, though they have updated it earlier than Wednesday. So, if you check out their website by Wednesday then you should be able to find out what games they are airing for that weekend.
As for the Pokal games, well, they have not aired any of those games so far. However, that does not mean that they won't show any of those matches soon.
Normally, GOLTV shows a Bundesliga game every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The big Pokal derby, FCB-1860, will be broadcast live on Setanta Sports (premium channel) next Wednesday, Feb. 27. You can safely assume GolTV covers every Bayern Bundesliga match live.

Plus, don't forget about p2p! Between those two you'll never miss a match.

Even moreso this season than last. Last season, at least 3 of every 4 games was available. This season, They've shown every single Bayern game.
But their schedule is a bit dodgy. My Windows Media Center guide still says that tomorrow at 11Am will be "Futbol Espanol" but it will be the Bayern game. Thehy showed today's Schalke game and the Media Center guide called it "Futbol Espanol". My DirecTV guide does correctly call it "Fotbol Aleman" right now.
Also, keep an eye out for Hallo Bundesliga, a weekly hour long wrap up show, and Bundeslige Magazine, a news/promotional show.

Go to software and download TVU, Spocast and TV Ants. Once you do that, make sure they are updated to the latest patch (go to their original website if it doesn't work to update the program). Then, click watch for P2p to link it directly to your program. If it doesn't work like Spocast doesn't for mine for example, simply open the program and find the channel manually. If it says Gol TV, look for it at TV Ants or TVU, etc. Hope it helps!

I read somewhere on this board that whoever bought it is still planning on doing something with it, I'm not sure what they're sources were though. I can't see somebody paying money for it just to put up that empty site. Supposedly they're working on updating it... sure are taking their time though.

I only use Sopcast, as there is always a channel available for Bayern. Sometimes it's Chinese or something similar, but that doesn't matter to me.
There are also tips on myp2p.eu for optimizing your PC for better quality.

I had that same problem with GolTV this weekend, said "futbol Espanol" but the Bayern game was on. www.goltv.ca updates the weekly schedule on Thursday, as that is the turning day for the calendar on their website.

GolTV does not update their programming until sometime on Friday (tyipcally late afternoon, sometimes late evening) for the entire weekend and next week. This is frustrating yes, but I have found that their website if much more effective at updating.

I always assumed it was Thursday night, because I've checked it Thursday and then again on Friday and it was updated... really rather dumb IMHO, they should just have a rolling calendar, takes one person 5 minutes to take one day off the calendar and add another one at the end.

Agreed. I have gotten home from a Friday night of soccer and some bevies, checked it at say 11pm, and they still hadn't updated the programming. It is never consistant. I just know that on Saturday and 9am and 11am and Sunday at 10am are reserved for purely Bundesliga matches.

Like I stated in an earlier post, GOLTV's website is normally updated by Wednesday, sometimes by Tuesday. I was on the site today and they had already updated the site for the weekend's games, so it's better to go to the site than to rely on the programming guide on TV.

Excuse me but I am not wrong. GOLTV's website is www.goltv.tv and on the left side of the screen one will see the schedule. It has all the games listed, the times, and whether the games are either a premiere(for tape delay games) or live. Also, news are also on the site and you can read the site in either English or Spanish. So, check it out for yourself.
