Could it work?? Just how intense is the rivalry? I know it's nowhere near as Rangers and Celtic, but could the supporters agree to share a new stadium?

Would an AC Milan/Inter Milan situation work in Edinburgh??

This is still at a theoretical stage.

Since they announced the plan, there has been quite a lot of hostility particularly from Hibs fans.

The major problem is the site. Straiton is to the south of Edinburgh, whereas Hearts are in the west (Gorgie) and Hibs are in the north-east (Leith) of the city. So the fans who live locally to the ground, who make up quite a large % of the fan base, are very concerned.
