The McFadden bid was ambitious, foolish if they thought motherwell would sell to a rival club but ambitious nonetheless.
I was actually under the impression motherwell werent allowed to refuse offers for players but seems they can keep McFadden and Pearson and the like, might even help them stay up!

re: Motherwell refusing offers for players. They are probably refusing the offers despite being in administration because the administrator (Jackson) thinks that the offer represents poor value for the player(s).

I heard the bid was in the 500k-1.5 million range, i would be surprised if it was that high that motherwell would knock it back though.
