Arsenal next head to the Midlands to face a Birmingham team hovering above the relegation zone. While they held us to a draw in the reverse fixture, they haven't won a game since December. They'll be struggling for their Premiership lives and McLeish has shown he knows how to give us a tough game. This is one we must win to keep up our quest for the Premier League Trophy.

Gotta love the early wakeup! We will handle them. I'm calling 2-0.

Shit man I blew beer on my laptop reading this. I think we will finish at least 2 in this match after not being able to against Milan. Also I hope RVP can get alittle fitness going in this match. Clichy looked ok to me today, I was going to say rest him and let one of the kids have a crack. I think Denilson should play for flams or fabs after todays long match for them. Im going with a two-nil scoreline.

It is worth noting that we probably won't be able to put out our strongest squad in the next match against Villa because it will be just 2 or 3 days before the Milan fixture. Therefore, it is crucial that Arsenal get 3 points in this match.

Out of interest, why is your club set to "those that win"? Are you a glory hunter or am I missing something?

Senderos seemed to come around when Kolo went to the ACN. Perhaps he just needs to know he's going to be in the squad. Some confidence players don't do well with the pressure of fighting for a spot. With any luck we'll continue to see the best of ol' Swiss Tony.

I think Senderos has been getting better and better as the games have gone by, he was excellent when he came on against Milan. That's no surprise to anyone who's seen him over the last few years, he always looks shaky in his first couple of games back in the side, but gets better and more confident the longer his run in the team goes on.
All I really want is for us to play 4-4-2 and actually go for Birmingham on Saturday. We need the three points, so let's not surrender the intiative by swamping the midfield against a team at the wrong end of the table. We should be imposing our game on Brum, not giving them a chance to get going.
Leaving out the obviously injured players, I'd like to see the following:
Almunia
Sagna-Gallas-Senderos-Clichy
Rosicky-Fabregas-Flamini-Hleb
Eduardo-Adebayor
Subs: Lehmann, Hoyte, Denilson, Bendtner, Walcott

I demand a revenge thrashing from Brum taking a point last time! The boys ride the momentum built from yesterday, Ade goes ballistic with a hat-trick, and Theo adds one on late.
0-4 Arsenal. GO ON YOU GUNNERS!

Still undecided on whether to go to this one. The boys are getting the 8.05 train from Euston. That's ridiculously early.

1-2 to Le Arse.
Considering the frustration of the Milan game, they'll be looking to score bagfuls of goals. 6:45am, though? Yeeeeesh.

Adebayor needs at least one goal in this game. He needs to put the Milan game behind him quickly or it could start to affect his confidence.

Just another example of your lack of dedication. :p:D

any word on Rosicky or RVP? This is the time that we need them back in the team.

Kolo out for two weeks now according to the trainers its not as bad as once thought. I would like to see Walcott get a starting nod in this game as I think he came out for 7 minutes lastnight and really brought something to the team. Keep Rosicky out one more game maybe.

Crucial game. We need to pick up the points, especially with Manure heading to Newcastle. Hopefully they can hold them to a point. I agree with resting a few starters but we don't need to get caught with our pants down. A solid 3-0 outing is what I'm expecting.

I was quite surprised that he went off in the first place. It looked as if it was just a matter of Pato drilling that shot into Toure's calf. Yeah, I know that doesn't feel good but I would not have thought it was something that would keep a player out for a month. Did I miss a report that he strained the muscle in addition to being hit?
