C. Ronaldo is two footed, deadly with his head, passes beautifully, a free kick specialist, posesses sublime dribbling ability, can shoot accurately from range and in two years he led his club to back to back league titles, a CL title and is capable of scoring 40+ goals from the wing. Please explain how anyone can be more "complete" than that.

He can't convert crucial PKs :p

he could improve his one-touch passes.......honestly, I can't remember him ever doing a one-two play in the upper-third

As much as I like C Ronaldo - I take Ronaldo in his prime :) But it's close. R9 was a monster. He's the originator of Ronaldos :)

You don't watch enough Manchester United games then.

Ronaldo's passing has very little penatration.

Ronaldo's passing has very little penatration.

Its not Riquelme, Deco, Ronaldinho type..But he has created more then enough passes.

He finished with 20 assists 2 seasons ago. He should have had something similar last season, was it not for the horrid finishing from Tevez and Rooney. His passing is fine, and has well then enough "penetration".

Look how his a assists went down last season, shows how greedy he got.

His cross is not bad though, but I still don't like him, and he's quite ugly.

But look how his goals went up and look how he led man utd to the cl and epl titles. plus what joel said is correct. he could have easily had 41 goals and 15-20 assists last year if it wasn't for horrible finishing.

No its because he never passes to anyone within 40 yards of the goal, it might be different now though with Berbatov and a new system.

don't take this the wrong way but did you watch man utd last year. Cause i can remember plenty of games where they could have easily put 5 or 6 goals in the net because of ronaldo but only managed 2 or 3.

Bad match for Ronaldo against Brasil, outshone by at least 5 Brasilian players (Kaka, Robinho, Elano, Fabiano, Adriano) and Danny and Nani for Portugal.

Add to that he showed unprofesional behavior in the second half with a series of bust ups, and according to Silva tryed to end his career with a leg breaking tackle. shocking in a friendly, he should be fined by the Portuguese FA.

Wonder if Calderon was watching this disaster.

Ronaldo will never have a great team game for Portugal until they fix the fundamental problems they currently have in the side. While he was fouled at times versus Brazil you could tell he was getting increasingly frustrated by what the rest of his team were not doing.

High profile match arrives, Ronaldo folds, same old story.
He also struggles badly against teams with a deep back line so he is going to suck in spain.

What? He will shine with the increased amount of time on the ball.

When he has more time and starts thinking too much he does too much needless stuff and loses his effectiveness, if you stand off him he sucks, he needs players to commit themselves early or quickly if stationary.

He will win the awards this season because he deserves it and I want him too but I don't think he will be remembered as a great footballer, I don't think he will even make the very good catogery with say Raul, Figo, Rivaldo, Henry etc.

Rivaldo was better than all the players you've mentioned. His drawback is a relative short peak time, but at his best the only player better than him was Ronaldo of Barca.

Are you nuts, that what got him the recognition in Portugal in the first place. He ate of defenses that way.
