Yet again you fail to comprehend a post. Read the actual thread then educate yourself before trying to respond again.

Prove to me, using any statistical evidence you can muster up, any silly Nike commercials with him doing stepovers, or just your own ¨wit(and I use the term lightly,)¨ that Cristiano Ronaldo is a better overall player than Ronaldo. Stop evading the question.

Great explanation.
Explanation not needed. It's an obvious answer, no?
Oh, that's right you support the scum don't you...? A little biased maybe?:p

1. Antonio81, if you had bothered to read the thread then you would know my reasoning.
2. AussieLFCfan, reasoning is precisely what you are lacking.

C Ronaldo showed some maturity today. Some physical fouls against him and no overreactions. Chasing down balls he could not reach and so on.
He knows he has to be a complete team player for Portuagal to do well without a great striker, to continue to set up his teammates even after they have blown chances, and he does not seem to mind. I don't like him very much personally, but I respect the improvements he has made to his game in the last year. He can play on either side, more forward or withdrawn, and is a huge weapon for Scolari because of it. He really has become an impressive player.

1. Antonio81, if you had bothered to read the thread then you would know my reasoning.
I skimmed through it, your main point seemed to be CRonaldo´s being a winger who scores more than the average winger or foward. That doesn´t explain why someone who is just beginning his career and has achieved little should be rated ahead of one of the greatest players of all time, who has won just about every award conceivable(not to mention being an innovator.) I could even compare their greatest goals(and the types of defenses they were scored against.)
Anyways this is a waiste of time.

this thread is way to messed up
first of all, half of you that are commenting on brazalian Ronaldo's legacy probably have never watch him play in league games for inter or barca.
Futhermore, his best games were 10-12 years ago at a time when la liga or clacio games were rarely on tv. While EPL games were always shown.
I watched both players play, I watch C. Ronaldo from the first day of his debut until now, and I watched Ronaldo for the last decade.
having said that, and ignoring stats, I would say Ronaldo's style of play is the most effective of the two. Unlike C. Ronaldo, Ronaldo played in 4 different leagues with 4 different styles of play. He showed how quickly he can adapt. C. Ronaldo will need to prove if he can do the same and adapt to different style of football very quickly. Hopefully we can C. Ronaldo is spain in the coming years and even in Italy, that is when we can truly compare their legacies.

C.Ronaldo has had two years beyond anyone's imaginations. But still, I would still have Brazil's Ronaldo on my team.
Shame about thos injuries.

Ronaldo (R9)
League: 34 goals in 37 games
Europe: 8 goals in 5 games
Cup: 5 goals in 7 games
Brazil: 15 goals in 17 games
Season: 1996/97
Total: 62 goals in 66 games.
It's been soo long....
It's not fair to characterize C. Ronaldo as a winger. Nominally a winger but because he's so fast he gets the freedom to switch to a second striker. For all purposes he can be considered a striker, but from long range, which is consistent with is performances, as he scores goals even when he's not playing that well (CL final).
