100% in-form Barca 2004-2006 vs. 100% in-form Man Utd. 2006-2008.

Does that sound right? :D

Tough comparison because 1 Ronaldo is just getting started while the other may have played his last game 1 week ago. And you can't really compare the 2 right now because one is legend and the other is just starting to build his resume up. Plus they play 2 different positions.

But to answer your question. The brazilian is more gifted than CR7. And thats not a knock on CR7 because to me Ronaldo was the most gifted player that I ever saw play. Everything you wanted in a player. But CR7 is on his way to greatness and many trophies so will just have to wait and see.
I believe that the Brazilian Ronaldo has had his time at the top but he is not as good anymore because of ageing. At this time I think they both could develop alot but C. Ronaldos skill is amazing and for the past season he has become one of the best if not the best. I think that it would be very close with differnt qualities of both players but I think that C. Ronaldo is a better over all player at this time.

It's not a fair comparison. Cristiano is years away from his prime while Ronaldo is years past. You would have to be a fool to think Ronaldo is currently better than Cristiano. However, Ronaldo and Zidane were arguably the two defining players of this current era.

Ronaldo (the Brazilian) has been there, done it, and got the t-shirt. Man U's Ronaldo still has it all to do, although scoring in a European Cup final isn't a bad start. The older Ron was helped that he played in some fantastic Brazilian teams as well.

He did miss his pk yesterday after attempting to cheat as he ran up on the ball.

LAW 14 – THE PENALTY KICK
However, if in the opinion of the referee the feinting is considered an act of unsporting behaviour, the player shall be cautioned.

I like how you conveniently chose to omit the full rule which clearly states:

Feinting to take a penalty kick to confuse opponents is permitted as
part of football.

He broke no rule. Stop whining.

But did he not only feint but completely stop, is there not a rule against a full stop?

He did not fully stop.

He did not fully stop.

I believe he did this time around. Usually he does not come to a complete stop, however I still do not believe it is cheating.

I pasted the applicable portion of the 100+ document. His run up to the ball was unsporting and he therefore broke the rule. It's pretty simple.

Oh, and I don't see how pointing out that at minimum broke the spirit of the game is in anyway whining.

He did completely stop this time and it f*cked him up. Not a big deal that he missed, United still won...

I think it's a big deal if you miss a pk in a CL final, regardless of the end result. Granted it didn't effect the game but had Terry not slipped it certainly would have.

Of course it would have. Regardless...

Don't give me that rubbish. You know full well what you tried to do. It failed.

If I was trying to cover something up, I certainly would not have posted the link.

He did not fully stop.

Now this is an outright lie. Otherwise you missed that, and if that's true, it's hard to take your analysis seriously.
