When you look at the big picture, it's not that bad. We sent out a depleted squad and got beat by the defending champs in their backyard. In the long run, a loss is a loss, it doesn't matter whether it was by 1 goal or 100.

To me, the FA Cup is the cherry on top of a successful season, not a successful season in itself.

That's ultimately the point, and why this loss - other than on paper- is not the worst thing in the world for us.

That's all well and good mate, but it was the way we lost that pisses me off,we never turned up! say what you will about Man U, but you would never see them roll over like that,no mater how many players they had injured/Too old/Shite.

I didn't expect us to win to be honest, but it hurts to see an Arsenal side play like that, and I don't want to see it again

You really don't follow Arsenal too closely do you? Or haven't looked recently? You do realize that all those players started due to injuries.

We're all gutted atm....but just like after Borough and Spurs....a good result against Milan will make the pain go away.

This reminds a bit of last year after we do the double over United, I'm sure they hated losing to us, but I'm positive this little thing called the TITLE helped with the hurt. All is not lost mates.

I'm not gutted personally. I think its a bit odd to go around being happy or sad depending on a sports game. :p

Sure, I bet losing 4-nil to those muppets put you in a great mood.

Well it wasn't the best news I had all day. :D

I just think people get a bit carried away is all. Like people who were crying when Ollie retired. :p

Eh, it's an investment we all make. When you decide to support a club many of us become deeply involved. Some more so than others.

I remember being hugely invested when Brighton went to a replay with Man U (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1983_FA_Cup_Final) :D

I hated Norman Whiteside

If we shit away the league and do our usual crapness in the CL, maybe then we'll see the FA cup as a lost opportunity. Why treat the FA Cup like shit when it's one of the best cups in the world? Win one game versus the mancs minus Ronaldo, or try to win two versus Milan with Kaka?

Like someone said earlier, the most painful thing is the way the team folded like cheap lawn chairs. Only Edu and Lehman seemed to give a rats ass.

The rolling over and also the piss poor attitude displayed by Eboue's flying kung fu kick, Billy G's knee on Nani, Ade's dive. AFC have developed a reputation as being the poorest losers in the League and this was a prime example of it. Did they learn nothing from the Carling Cup final meltdown?
Time to regroup and take it to the CL Cup holders, it's the only way to make up for Saturday.

Who would play LB if Clichy were out and Traore AWOL somewhere far from the the game? One of the reserve side?

Gallas or Flamini.

I almost forgot Gallas is an awesome left back.
