Tickets for eight of Radiohead's US tour dates go on sale on Saturday 2/16. They're all expected to sell out very quickly. I imagine a lot of people around here will hoping to get through and obtain some. I know I'll be up earlier than usual on a Saturday. Good luck to you all...unless it's at the expense of me getting my tickets.

I already got tickets to the show in Charlotte 2 days ago through W.A.S.T.E.
I'm waiting for the NYC/Boston dates to be announced.

Tried getting them through W.A.S.T.E. for Atlanta, but they were gone almost instantly.
30 more minutes until Ticketmaster...

I managed to get some for Atlanta. It is easily the most I've ever paid for a concer ticket. I haven't seen them since the OK Computer though so I didn't mind so much. That and it's the same weekend as my birthday. :)

Awesome, man.
I caught them at Bonnaroo in 2006, which was an amazing set.

I missed that show and I'm racking my brain trying to remember why.....some prior commitment.

The problem with the DC area show is the venue. As a place to watch a show it's pretty good. Getting there and then getting out absolutely SUCKS. I vowed never to go back after I sat in the parking lot for almost three hours the last time I went. Oh well....

I tried to get tickets for a gig they did last year at the theater in MSG. They sold out in less than 5 minutes.

I guess that would be a bit of a concern for you considering I bought your ticket. :p
After the supremo TM gouge, it came out to $71 per ticket. Seriously, it was something like $18 per ticket in fees. Ridiculous. Don't back out on me though. It's my birthday remember. Surely your little brother is worth that much to hang out with. :p

Yeah, it was pretty appalling. I didn't have time to call around and ask people though if they were willing to pay it. I just had to go for it.

After some deep thinking, i have decided to forgo these dates, as the closest to my home is in St. Louis (3.5 hours away) during the middle of the week... but mainly, the venue they are coming to, Riverport (Verizon Amphitheater), doesn't allow tailgating... i mean, ANY TAILGATING... i saw them last time they came around at the same place... and the disappointment of my treatment at that facility is the #1 reason i will not go back there, no matter who is there (save maybe a Pink Floyd reunion tour)... you can't even sit next to your car or in your car... you are forced by guards to enter the theater immediately upon parking... my brother and i were litterally sitting in a lawn chair next to my car since we couldn't drink, just sitting there listening to the radio and the golf-carted bastards came around and told us to get in to the theater or we would be escorted off the premises... it was hard to not smart off to them... coming from Kansas City, where tailgating is an artform, this is disgraceful... Thom Yorke should be told about the property he is visiting... even he would be outraged...
I really hope they add more dates and spread around to other parts of the country...
i have seen radiohead 3 times... if you have the opportunity, and it isn't in Nazi-fied Riverport, then go...
oh, and i look a lot like Ed O'Brien, the guitarist for them...

holy crap! you do look a lot like him. i never noticed that before.
the no tailgating is a massive problem, for sure, but what really makes me not want to ever go to that venue again is the sound quality.
the two sections of seats are roofed, leaving the lawn open air. i guess this wouldn't be much of a problem if they didn't have two sets of speakers. they have the main set on/around the stage, then they have another set specifically for the lawn, mounted on the outside poles that hold up the roof. because the sound takes a split second longer to travel to you from the stage set of speakers, what you actually hear is a garbled mess. it's no way to listen to a radiohead show, but it is st. louis, so none of this should be surprising.
what IS surprising is that radiohead would rebook the same venue for this tour. from what i understand, they refuse to ever play 'fake plastic trees' live again because thom doesn't approve of how it sounds, yet they'll allow their whole show to be muddled for the thousands out on the lawn? really unfortunate.
