The fabulous sequel to my "Evil Music" thread.

Ahh, Valentine's Day. A day for love. Not that I know anything about that. So I want to know what love is and I want you to show me. Give me examples of great love songs. Now, I am going to put in an important restriction - the songs can only be about an existing romantic love between people in a relationship, not "I love you please love me" or "hey stranger please have sex with me" or "we broke up and I really miss her/him/it" or anything else before or after the relationship.

I went over my collection of 2-3000 musical pieces, and I have less than 10 that actually fit this restriction. Strangely enough, love is not a frequent topic in Scandinavian funeral dirges or proto-fascist marches. Most are fairly unnoteworthy:

I think so. Around 1:45 or so, you can see what looks on my crappy monitor to be D-45 inlays. The bound headstock's there as well. Of course, there are so many copies (and a few superiors) of everything out now that it could be anything, but I'm sure Neil can afford the "original".

It does sound good (harmonics clear as a bell, and chords up the neck, too), but how much of that can be attributed to the guitar itself and how much to the pickup, preamp and PA, I don't know. The guitar ain't hurting anything, tho- that's for certain.
